Cyclotron Building - New High-Bay Addition

COMPLETED November 2012

The planning of this project includes an extension at the east end of the existing National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory (NSCL) main crane bay and a new experimental systems crane bay north of the new main crane structure and east of the low-energy experimental research addition area.

Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum

The Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum will be located on the corner of Grand River Avenue and Farm Lane at the Collingwood campus entrance in the North Academic District. The museum will include three levels totaling approximately 46,000 square feet.

Emmons Hall was located on the west side of Harrison Road in the southeast corner of the Brody Complex in the Residential District. The renovation project included major mechanical, electrical and ventilation upgrades and replacements within the building.

The Engineering Research Complex building has a demand for new additional office space located in close proximity to the Energy and Automotive Research Lab (EARL). The enclosion of the walkway, now connecting the two buildings, will provide a permanent connection and increase opportunities for collaborative research between both departments.

The existing aluminum curtain wall, glazing system, and doors had become outdated. They were replaced with new energy-efficient aluminum curtain walls and glazing system.
