Harrison Road Reconstruction from Trowbridge Road to Mount Hope Road

Completed:

Description: The 2012 Harrison Road reconstruction project includes the reconstruction of the roadway from Trowbridge Road to Mount Hope Road, located on the west side of Michigan State University's campus. The completed road surface will continue to have the same lane configuration as the currently existing roadway.

Reconstruction will include:

  • Intermittent curb replacement
  • Sidewalk improvements
  • Minor storm sewer
  • Sanitary sewer repairs
  • Water main improvements
  • New paved asphalt surface

Timeline: The project began on May 7 and will be completed by July 27.

Impacts to pedestrians, bikers, motorists:The anticipated traffic impacts of this project are significant, and motorists are encouraged to seek an alternative route to their destination during this project. Local traffic will have access to the area from Mount Hope Road only and should follow the posted detour route. Motorists trying to access the Amtrak/Greyhound/Indian Trails station should use Service Road from Farm Lane.
