Holmes Hall — Elevator Replacement

Holmes Hall Elevators
Holms Hall - Elevator Replacement

Description: Holmes Hall is located on the northeast corner of East Shaw Lane and Hagadorn Road in the Residential District of campus. Since 1965, when Holmes was first built, it has housed the original five elevators. The premise behind the project is a complete removal and replacement of the four passenger elevators along with the one fright elevator; this will entail cars, cabs, motors, controllers, and calls. The new elevators installed comply with the already existing building, elevator and accessibility codes.

Timeline: Construction began in December 2009, and was substantially completed in December 2010, with final completion in December 2011.
