Description: The project site is located in the Agricultural District near the intersection of Jolly and College roads, within the Inland Lakes Research and Study area.
This project involves the construction of a 23,000-gross-square-foot building with two indoor ranges to accommodate small-bore and air rifle and archery. An outside archery park would include beginner and competitive ranges. The project also anticipates the development of a potential Olympic archery range in the future. The Center would be a multi-purpose venue that could support National Archery in the Schools Program, hunter safety, 4-H youth programs, shooting club sports and academic programs related to law enforcement and related curricula.
The project is proposed as a post frame building constructed with an interior concrete envelope for the small-bore range.
The Center would be open to faculty, staff, students and the public and would integrate and expand academics and other certification programming to enhance MSU's relationship with the DNR and other agencies.

Timeline: Construction is planned to began in May 2008 and was substantially completed in November 2008, with final completion in March 2009.
